Privacy Policy

Brenna Psychology recognizes the importance of your privacy and respects your right to control how your personal information is collected and used.

This Privacy Policy complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and describes the way that we may collect, hold and disclose personal information.

Collection

To provide our services to you, we may collect Personal Information, such as your contact details, including your name, email address, telephone number, your payment and billing information, which we use to bill you for the services and to process your payments. We may also collect details of conversations we have had with your or any other information relevant to us.

Use of Information

To provide the best possible care for you, sometimes we will need to contact other workers, agencies or people important to you such as a parent or support person. We can’t do this without your permission. You will be provided a form to complete at the time of your initial assessment that will serve as your permission to share and exchange your information with any specific workers, agencies or people important to your care that you identify.

Please note, if you are attending services funded by a Third Party Provider, we may be required to provide treatment progress updates to this Third Party. If you are concerned about this, please discuss this with your psychologist.

If we are worried about your wellbeing or someone else’s wellbeing and believe that there is risk of serious harm, it is required to share your information with or without your permission to the appropriate authorities as required by law

We will have to disclose information if we are subpoenaed by the court.

Information that might be shared may include your personal information, your visits and progress during therapy.
